Laser and sclerotherapy for thread and spider veins on face or body

Thread and spider veins need different treatments based on their localtion, cause, colour, size and distribution. Facial thread veins can be secondry to gentics, sun-damage or rosacea.Thread veins on legs may caused by high pressure in hidden varicose veins.

First step in treatment is medical evaluation and proper diagnosis. We prefer lasers as they selectively destroy thread or spider veins and do not damage surrounding normal tissue. For this reason we do not recommed electrolysis which can damage normal tissue.

It is estimated that in many areas over 60 percent of the adult population suffers from varicose veins, thread veins or spider veins. Varicose veins are enlarged vessels that have widened as a result of weakness in the vein wall, which stretches and bulges. Leg veins -treatment without surgery

We offer a variety of spider vein and thread vein treatments. Sclerotherapy and lasers complement each other and often a combination works best. Sclerotherapy and microsclerotherapy is performed using a very fine needle to inject a sclerosant solution into the veins which then destroys the vein lining. The needle is of such a small calibre that the discomfort is none or minimal. We import spcial extra fine needles for our sclerotherapy patients.

Non-invasive treatment of leg veins is performed with a laser most suited to your skin, localtion, size and colour of your veins. Treatment approach will be discussed at your consultation. Dr Gheyi will examine your legs and may use an ultrasound to assess the venous system.

Face and body thread and spider veins
